Centre for Transfer and Management of Socio-Economic Information

Goal

To consolidate HSE University's position as an academic leader in socio-economic and humanities research

Objectives:

  • To organise, manage, store and provide online access to digital copies of the results of socio-economic research conducted by HSE scientists
  • To create a digital infrastructure for the transfer and management of scientific research results in socio-economic sciences and humanities
  • To transfer socio-economic research findings to the real sector of the economy and government authorities
  • To foster a culture of continuous change and innovation by hosting regular meetups, pitching sessions, and project meetings for researchers and founders of HSE University startups
  • To conduct expert and analytical work:
    • in the socio-economic sphere
    • in assessing the maturity level of organisations' digitalisation
    • developing an ethics index of organisations that use artificial intelligence technologies
  • To implement continuing professional development programmes in the field of technology transfer.

History

  • 2024

    The Centre for Transfer and Management of Socio-Economic Information was transformed from the Joint Economic and Social Data Archive by the decision of the Academic Council of HSE University on April 24, 2024 (Minutes No. 7 of April 24, 2024).

  • 2009

    The decision to create the Joint Economic and Social Data Archive (JESDA) was made by the HSE University Academic Council in December 2009. The purpose of creating the new department at HSE University was to continue and improve the workflows carried out within the framework of the Joint Social Data Archive (JSDA) of the Independent Institute for Social Policy and the Centre for Statistical Data of the State University Higher School of Economics. All data collections formed by UAESD were received by HSE and are located on the website of the Archive of Economic and Sociological Data of HSE University.
